Girard-Perregaux : retour du tourbillon bi-axial

Le tourbillon reste une complication horlogère indémodable, du moins pour l’amateur averti. Si certaines marques s’en tiennent respectueusement à l’écart, comme Urwerk, d’autres en ont fait un crédo, comme Greubel-Forsey.

Girard-Perregaux n’a plus grand-chose à prouver en matière d’horlogerie de haute voltige, mais une pièce à tourbillon bi-axial reste remarquable. Il ne s’agit pas d’une mécanique nouvelle à proprement parler, mais d’une finition inédite. En effet, pour 8 pièces uniquement, cette création déjà présentée en 2008 se pare d’un boîtier en titane DLC noir. La parure est inhabituelle pour la marque et permet, il est vrai, une parfaite visibilité des deux cages tournant sur deux dimensions.

La complication est aujourd’hui assez répandue dans la Haute Horlogerie, ses axes de rotation se multiplient. Récemment, Jaeger-LeCoultre a ainsi présenté la version sphérotourbillon de son Duomètre à Quantième, d’une troublante proximité technique avec le Double tourbillon à 30° de Greubel Forsey.

Les finitions en reste pour autant assez communes, alors que Girard-Perregaux tente une nouvelle voie en dotant sa pièce de haute horlogerie d’une finition habituellement plus moderne, voire sportive.
