Breguet Type XX1 ref 3817 : Néo-vintage !

Modèle iconique de Breguet et véritable emblème dans le domaine de l’aviation civil et militaire, le Type XX est une institution à lui seul.

Commandé successivement par l’armée de l’Air et l’Aéronautique navale françaises jusqu’au début des années 80, ce n’est pas seulement une montre bracelet disposant d’un chronographe (flyback) mais d’un réel outil de travail  pour les pilotes

C’est dans cette tradition que Breguet présente aujourd’hui ce chronographe Type XXI ref 3817 aux allures typiquement « vintage ».

En effet, dès le premier coup d’œil, on perçoit rapidement la source d’inspiration  de ses créateurs, cadran mat aux index peints imitant la patine vanille-crème jusqu'au triangle sur la lunette graduée en acier brossé et satiné, gros remontoir (big crown) pour une meilleure prise en main avec les gants de pilotes, boîtier retravaillé mais gardant la forme initiale des montres des années 50/60 et bracelet en cuir vieilli (veau).

En résumé, avec ses 42 mm de diamètre (versus 38 mm), son mouvement automatique  avec fond saphir (versus mouvement mécanique valjoux 22, 235, ou 720) le Type XXI 3817 est une pièce que l’on peut désigner « néo-vintage ».
