Vacheron Constantin Overseas chronographe QP : luxe sportif ou sport de luxe ?

La ligne Overseas tend à s’affirmer chez Vacheron Constantin au fil des années. Cette collection, qui se veut le fer de lance sportif et technique de la marque, est l’équivalent de l’Ingenieur chez IWC, entre autres.

 

Vacheron Constantin tente toutefois aujourd’hui de faire le pont entre le sport technique et les hautes complications de luxe avec un Overseas...chronographe et quantième perpétuel.

 

Entre ces deux orientations, la marque à la Croix de Malte semble toutefois avoir tranché vers le côté smoking plutôt que sport extrême, avec notamment un boitier en or rose 18c qui supportera mal les éraflures de parois escarpées...

 

Pour autant, un modèle titane est également proposé depuis un peu plus d’un an, peut-être plus sportif mais néanmoins plus exclusif : 80 exemplaires réservés aux 27 boutiques de la marque, pour 49.800 €.

 

Sport extrême ou luxe extrême ? Le quantième perpétuel n’est peut-être pas la complication la plus utile pour les acrobaties en tout genre. Et une IWC Ingenieur en état neuf se négocie actuellement 8000 euros, pour des performances de chronographe en tout point similaire.

 

On dira, pour simplifier, que pour cette Overseas, les sports extrêmes se limiteront à la conduite de la Lamborghini du week-end ou la régate sur le Léman !
