Première boutique Breitling à Paris

Breitling ouvre sa première Boutique « Pilote » en Europe au 10, rue de la Paix.

La boutique Breitling de Paris est une première. Jusqu’à présent, la marque était principalement présente par le biais de ses revendeurs. Dans le grand monopoly de la Rue de la Paix, où IWC et Baume & Mercier ont également poussé leurs pions ces dernières semaines, Breitling trouve une place de choix pour affirmer ses prétentions.

L’espace, évidemment, joue la carte de l’aéronautique. Pour autant, elle se distingue des schémas traditionnels en supprimant les espaces quasi privatifs propres aux salons de luxe, au profit de larges banquettes et de fauteuils design au look acidulé.

C’est d’ailleurs la seconde différence avec les codes traditionnels : Breitling y signe une décoration « rétro » dans l’esprit US des années 50 grâce à des reproductions Néo-PopArt signées Kevin Kelly, artiste américain contemporain.

La musique est diffusée par « Radio Breitling », présente dans toutes les boutiques. Breitling va également proposer des « éditions spéciales boutiques », disponibles en exclusivité dans ces espaces de vente.

Commercialement parlant, que penser de l’ouverture d’une boutique en nom propre...en face du détaillant qui vend Breitling depuis plusieurs années ?

Le plus souvent, ce dernier est mis devant le fait accompli. Le réassort risque de devenir plus compliqué, l’essentiel des pièces étant, naturellement, prioritairement destiné à la boutique de marque.

Au final, le client tranchera. Les marges sont plus facilement négociables en détaillant qu’en boutique flagship, mais de nombreux amateurs préfèrent le plus souvent s’adresser à Dieu plutôt qu’à ses saints...
